I'm watching a show tonight and the narrator says "blessed" but pronounces it bless-ED. If this is the correct pronunciation does that mean my children are correct when they say they kick-ED the ball and wip-ED the window? Why does this word get an extra enunciation on the end? They do the same thing with beloved and say belov-ED. Beyond the English language making very little sense...wouldn't it stand to reason that -ed endings should all be pronounc-ED the same.
